BaseCase Noted in Vidcast from Health Economics Digest

Nov 30, 2011

Our latest trip to ISPOR Madrid prompted the editor at Health Economics Digest to mention us in the innovation section of his recent vidcast. We appreciate the link between our unique presentation platform and innovation in our industry. BaseCase’s first electronic poster (aka e-poster) showed attendees at ISPOR how our platform presents evidence “in a visually appealing way”. Look for us around 4:02 but don’t forget to enjoy the rest of the vidcast discussing other interesting topics, articles and links relevant to HEOR.

Thanks for the mention Duncan.

'Touch' me at ISPOR Madrid

Nov 02, 2011

Picture this — you’re at a conference, ISPOR Madrid to be specific, checking out the various booths and talking to colleagues and associates you’ve not seen since Prague. You notice a poster about a topic you’re interested in and stride towards it to examine it. Then you wonder, if only you could somehow interact with the content of the poster; perhaps place your fingers on it to change the data and the assumptions to create different scenarios. Good news! BaseCase welcomes you to the start of a new world, a world of interactive electronic posters where you can touch the evidence!

BaseCase has gotten ‘touchy-feely’ this ISPOR, releasing our first interactive electronic poster. The content was provided by Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals and Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and presents a very interesting study on “Cost Savings and Improved Utility Through Use of beta-Amyloid-Specific PET in Dementia Diagnosis”. The e-poster is specially designed to allow for interactivity with the viewer. Come to booth 84 to experience firsthand ISPOR’s first ever electronic poster to manipulate and investigate different scenarios.

Drop by the BaseCase booth #84 at ISPOR Madrid 2011 to touch the evidence.

BaseCase presents at the 2nd Annual Device Reimbursement Conference in Brussels

Feb 07, 2011

BaseCase’s CEO Gijs Hubben will be speaking on Communicating the value of Medical Devices to Decision Makers:

Delivering economic evidence to the field teams in a visual, interactive and web-based format. This conference will take place on February 21st & 22nd 2011 in Brussels.

The evidence required for successful reimbursement and market adoption of medical devices is becoming increasingly complex. More frequently, evidence in the form of complex economic models needs to be presented to payers and healthcare providers. How do we effectively distribute this kind of evidence to the key account managers and sales directors? How do we make this data accessible & interactive, so it is easier to understand, and can be adapted to the local context of the decision maker?

Topics include:

  • Presenting an interactive business case to hospitals
  • Distributing economic evidence via the web in a user-friendly format
  • Visual presentation of health economic evidence to healthcare providers & key opinion leaders
