Vertical labels are now available

We’ve recently added a new Vertical Label control to BaseCase Interactive. It’s a small but very helpful addition that will make it easier to adapt apps to different markets, and keep them up to date.

Vertical text is commonly seen in data visualizations and other informational graphics, such as medical diagrams. BaseCase app developers have until now needed to use images in order to display vertical text within an app, which goes against best practices because it makes these apps difficult to maintain and even more difficult to localize.

Using the new Vertical Label control removes these issues completely. The text of the Vertical Label can be changed at any time, without needing to get an updated image from the graphic designer. Additionally, the text of the Vertical Label will be automatically included in the standard translation workflow. This ultimately saves time and makes country adaptations more foolproof.
