What is Cloud Computing?

Cloud computing is becoming increasingly common within the software industry, and many everyday web services are now based in the cloud. Instead of installing software locally, cloud computing allows users to simply open a web browser and access programs via the Internet.

Google Apps, the Adobe Creative Cloud, Netflix, YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, and Dropbox are all examples of cloud-based services that use the Internet to store, manage, and process data.

BaseCase too is a cloud-based service, and as such, users avoid the need to save a file locally and distribute copies by email. Since projects are saved automatically to a secure remote location, users can create, collaborate and share easily.
